Corporate Profile

Commencing operations in 1997, the company concentrated on direct mail, print management and direct marketing.  The company’s focus was on providing direct marketing services to the corporate and SME market places.  This strategy led to steady growth of the company and critical mass was achieved in a relatively short time period.  In 1999 we offered response fulfilment to major companies and the public sector in London and the southeast.  In 2003 the business developed into a group of companies called the DMSYS Group, Direct Mail Works focused on print management, response fulfilment and direct mail. Direct Marketing Systems moved to new offices at the Oakwood Business Centre, Havant. The group has grown steadily throughout the new millennium, we now employ 20 staff and have a turnover of approximately £1million and have over 600 clients across the United Kingdom.


Our Philosophy

We believe that in this Internet Age that the traditional paper based marketing methods such as direct mail, print management and response fulfilment will continue to a vital part of the marketing mix.  In particular we understand the importance of high degrees of customer focus and client service, especially in the disciplines of print management and direct mail where our wealth of experience is key to our on-going success and that of our clients.  Equally response fulfilment and fulfilment house services require a close working relationship with our clients to ensure the effective and timely distribution of products and printed materials.  We look forward to technological changes in the direct marketing industry, in the knowledge that paper will be used many decades to come as a marketing tool.


The Management Team

Our management team has over 150 years of combined experience gained in publishing, computing, corporate finance and commerce.  Our managing director is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and is a member of the Institute of Directors.  In 2006 company joined the IPIA, the industry’s leading association for printing and print management companies.

The management team has many years of senior commercial direct marketing and print management experience. The team regularly consults on sales and marketing issues with major UK businesses and SMEs.  Peter Mill our managing director, has also published many papers on direct marketing and regularly writes for the print management trade press and is regarded as an authority in direct marketing.  He has also lectured at The Solent University on marketing strategy and planning.  Peter Mill has also worked with the Institute of Direct Marketing to deliver direct marketing training to Royal Mail.  He has recently returned from an international trade mission to Poland as part of the EU initiative on inward development.
